The Mermaid Conference and Events Centre is situated between the City and the West End in London. Located on the North Bank of the Thames, it enjoys spectacular views towards the Tate Modern, the Globe theatre and the Millennium Bridge. The venue has a 600 seat auditorium, in addition to a wide range of adaptable rooms and two rooms with panoramic views across the Thames.
The Mermaid Theatre (view map) was a theatre encompassing the site of Puddle Dock and Curriers' Alley at Blackfriars in the City of London, and the most recently-built in the City since the time of Shakespeare. It was, importantly, also one of the first new theatres to abandon the traditional stage layout; instead a single tier of seats surrounded the stage on three sides.
Transport Links are excellent. The nearest tube stops are:
Blackfriars - newly opened tube and train station, with direct services from Luton and Brighton. Simply turn right as you leave the Blackfriars North exit and it is just a 2 minute walk
Mansion House - on the District/Circle line a short 6 minute walk
St Paul’s - on the central line, approximately a 4 minute walk.
